2011- Became world 100m champion after winning the event in 9.92 seconds at the 13th IAAF World Championships in Athletics held in Daegu. 2008 - Finished fourth at the 12th IAAF World Junior Championships in a time of 10.51 seconds 2007 - Established a new national junior record at the 36th edition of the CARIFTA Games with 10.11 seconds to take the under-20 100m final. 2006 - Claimed bronze in the 100m at the 11th IAAF World Junior Championships posting 10.42 in the final. 2005 - Placed seventh in the 100m in 10.65 seconds at the IAAF World Youth Championships
