Reigning Olympic 200m champion, Veronica Campbell-Brown, stormed to a world-leading time at Saturday night's Reebok Grand Prix in New York.

Campbell executed well to clock a sizzling 10.91 seconds, then declared she's happy with her progression.

"I'm running good," Campbell-Brown was quoted as saying in an interview with The Associated Press. "My objective is to run faster than I did last year. I accomplished that and I'm happy."

Sherri-Ann Brooks, the Common-wealth Games 100m champion, was eighth in 11.19 while Marshevet Hooker (10.94) and Muna Lee (10.97) finished second and third, respectively.

Peta-Gaye Dowie, the 2000 national 100m champion, finished fourth in the women's B race in 11.29.

Positions

Brooks returned to take fifth in the women's 200m in 23.00, while Nadine Palmer finished seventh in 23.40.

In the women's 400m, Novlene Williams finished second in 50.70 behind American Sanya Richards (50.04). Sonita Sutherland (52.89) was seventh.

Shevon Stoddart finished second in the women's 400m hurdles in 55.54 behind American Lashinda Demus (55.17). Danny McFarlane, the Olympic Games silver medallist, was second in the men's 400m hurdles in 48.95. The race was won by Kerron Clement (48.40).
