George Kerr
Upset, Controversy: Jack Yerman of Cakland California, pulls an upset as he hits the tape ahead of world champion George Kerr of Jamaica in the 600-yard race at the international indoor track and field meet at Toronto last Friday night. Yerman won by less than a yard in one minute, 9.3 seconds. Ill-feeling was sparked between the runners in the last yards of the race as Kerr pulled out wide when Yerman tried to pass. Yerman pulled Kerr out of the way and went on the win.
