Roger Daniel Roger Daniel

Daniel, a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment, made his debut at the Olympic Games in Athens where he placed 27th in the 10 metre air pistol event (earning a total of 574 points) and 33rd in the 50 m free pistol (545 pts). It was all part of a very golden year for the 34-year old who triumphed in these very two events in other competitions held throughout the year. These tournaments were the Olimpiada Cubana Games in Havana in April, the XXIV Copa del Caribe in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in and the 22nd annual Cible d’Or in Barbados. At the Trinidad Rifle Association’s national championships at Tucker Valley, Daniel won four gold medals: in the 10 m air pistol, the 50 m free pistol, the 25 m standard pistol and the 25 m centre fire.
