Trecia Smith advances to Triple Jump final »
Jamaican triple jumper, Trecia Smith has advanced to the final of the event by qualifying with a jump of 14.21 m.
Smith scored the crticial jump after two no jumps earlier in the round, today.
Fellow Jamaican Kimberly Williams failed to advanced, even though she jumped a personal best of 14.08m.
The finals is to take place on Monday, August 17.
Smith won the gold medal in the World Championships in 2005 with a winning 15.11 m jump.
