Campbell-Brown wins silver for Jamaica »
Olympic 200-metre champion Veronica Campbell-Brown won the silver medal in the women’s 200 metres at the 12th World Championships in Berlin, Germany this afternoon.
It was the 10th medal for Jamaica at the championships.
Campbell-Brown clocked 22 .35 behind gold medal winner Allyson Felix of the USA, who won in 22.02.
Debbie Ferguson-McKenzie of the Bahamas won the bronze in 22.41 seconds.
Jamaican Anneisha McLaughlin was fifth and her teammate Simone Facey finished sixth.
Meanwhile, Jamaica qualified for the final of the men's 4 x100 metre relay today, keeping Usain Bolt on track for a third gold medal at the world championships.
With Bolt and Asafa Powell sitting out the heats, Jamaica finished second behind Italy but still easily qualified in 38.60 seconds.
