Fraser promotes Jamaica's Anti-doping campaign »
Newly crowned women's 100m-world champion Shelly-Ann Fraser of Jamaica sent one message to all athletes in the world that nobody should dope, according to a report on www.people.com.
Fraser said at the annual AIPS and Laureus reception: "If you cheat you will get caught. We don't need to cheat. We will succeed on our own merit."
Fraser unveiled a video promoting Jamaica's new anti-doping campaign at the media reception. She was joined by compatriot Kerron Stewart, the 100m silver medalist and Jamaica's Minister for Youth, Sports and Culture, Olivia Grange.
Other Berlin 2009 champions attending the reception were Steffi Nerius of Germany, who won the women's javelin throw and 10,000m women's gold medalist Linet Chepkwemoi Masai of Kenya.
Former sporting legends including three-time world 800m champion Wilson Kiokjeter and inventor of the "Fosbury Flop", 1968 Mexico City Olympic high jump gold medalist Dick Fosbury, President of the World Olympians Association, and Italian race walker Marizio Damilano were honored at the reception.
Laureus Academy members Edwin Moses, Naqal El Moutawakel, Lord Sebastian Coe, Kip Keino and Sergey Bubka represented the "Laureus Sport for Good Foundation" which has raised more than 20 million euros to support sport-based social projects around the globe.
