GraceKennedy honours Shelly-Ann Fraser »

Olympic and World Championship 100-metre gold medallist Shelly-Ann Fraser was honoured earlier this afternoon by GraceKennedy Limited at a ceremony at her alma mater Wolmer’s Girls School.

The Jamaican conglomerate company, which has been sponsoring Fraser since last year, used the occasion to contribute $400,000 to the athletics programme at Wolmer’s Girls.

Douglas Orane, chairman and CEO at GraceKennedy Limited, says the contribution is in recognition to Fraser’s major achievements over the past year.

Fraser returned to the island last week after ending her season at the World Athletics Final in Thessaloniki, Greece on September 13.
